Since 1997, adViva has been known in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region as a leading supplier of medical products, orthopedic and rehabilitation technology. The healthcare company is represented in the area with three locations and a team of over 130 dedicated employees. 

For many years, adViva has been characterized by the high level of technical and medical expertise of its employees and regular training measures, as well as excellent workmanship and product quality.

adViva offers a comprehensive range of high-quality medical aids, including orthopedic insoles, orthoses, prostheses, and positioning systems.

adViva focuses on providing holistic care for patients. Individual requirements and personal goals are achieved through the collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists, and health insurance companies.

Specialized services such as the video-based adViva Gait and Movement Analysis and care for women who have undergone breast surgery and stroke patients complete the range of services.

The quality and innovation of adViva is proven by certifications according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and DIN EN ISO 13485.

The adViva SanitätsCenter (adViva medical center) and the company headquarters on Eppelheimer Straße in Heidelberg have been added to the Inclusion Atlas of the City of Heidelberg and the Association for Professional Integration and Qualification (Vb). This atlas documents the comprehensive accessibility of both locations, which was determined through investigations.

Founding

of the healthcare company adViva by Gerhard Biber and Klaus Happes

2019

Relocation to the new company headquarters in Heidelberg, Pfaffengrund

In 2019, the adViva headquarters moved to Heidelberg-Pfaffengrund. At the same time, the adVAKADEMIE was founded there.

2020

In 2020, building on this idea, adVPhysio was established to enhance the effectiveness of assistive devices in close collaboration with the attending physiotherapists. Also since 2020, the company has committed itself to the Gehen Verstehen® Code of Ethics and is certified as an OT Competence Center.

Since 2022, adViva GmbH has been part of the OPED medical supply group.

myKompriGUIDE Logo

In 2023, adViva became a partner of myKompriGUIDE. myKompriGUIDE brings together the expertise of the medical supply stores adViva, Fuchs & Möller, Hartlieb, Ortho Form, and Lückenotto under one brand, specializing in lipedema and lymphedema care. The partnership pursues the shared goal of optimizing patient care through a holistic approach.

adViva Academy

The adViva AKADEMY was launched in early 2019 with the aim of providing a professional platform for the company's expertise in health issues. Supported by renowned speakers from science and industry, acknowledged practitioners and industry partners, as well as experts from within the company itself, the AKADEMY addresses highly topical issues in which the company's philosophy of “we help people move” always plays a role.

Practical benefits are the central theme of all events. An interdisciplinary perspective and a solution-oriented approach are important foundations that are reflected in the way adViva works.

The ACADEMY also has two modern, bright seminar rooms with barrier-free access, which can be rented by the hour or by the day for events. They are suitable for conferences, training courses, workshops, lectures, or seminars for groups of approximately 10 to 60 participants. The spacious foyer of the company premises can also be rented on request and offers an attractive setting for special events on a larger scale. Personal support, technical equipment, and conference packages are included in this offer.

Training at adViva – A Matter Close to Our Heart!

We offer apprenticeships in the following professions:

Orthopedic Technician (m/f/d)

At adViva, orthopedic technicians create custom-made technical aids for patients based on a doctor’s prescription. These aids help treat orthopedic issues and impairments of the musculoskeletal system, joint misalignments, and instabilities.
Our products include prostheses and orthoses. We also produce specialized braces, corsets, and rehabilitation equipment such as seating shells and customized wheelchairs.
Depending on the device, fittings are carried out during the production process to check and adjust the fit as needed.
Orthopedic technicians also advise customers on choosing the right device, take medical histories, measure the affected body parts, and create models. They also repair, maintain, and adjust the devices and instruct customers on their use and handling.

Healthcare Management Assistant (m/f/d)

Healthcare management assistants are trained in Germany’s dual vocational system, which combines practical training at the company with theoretical lessons at vocational school.
This occupation is also a good opportunity for retraining, e.g., for nurses, geriatric caregivers, etc., and is offered both as initial training and by training institutes.
During in-company training, apprentices work in various administrative departments, such as goods receiving, reception, accounting, purchasing, or billing.

Retail Salesperson (m/f/d) – Medical Supply Store

Retail salespersons in a medical supply store present and sell products such as braces, ready-made orthoses, everyday aids, shoes, compression stockings, or walking aids.
They inform and advise customers, check inventory levels, and reorder goods as needed.
